Coastal Hotsprings Explorer
Whales, Bears & Hot springs are all possible seasonally in one amazing tour! Hot Springs Cove is an exciting 6 hour adventure where our captains make an effort to find wildlife including whales, black bears, seals, sea lions, puffins, sea otters, bald eagles (aerie too!) and over 20 miles of gorgeous coastline and beaches. Our hot springs tours are offered year round (weather permitting). Although we can't guarantee wildlife sightings on this adventure, you have an excellent chance to see everything. Once disembarking at the dock in Hot Springs Cove you will follow the historic cedar boardwalk through an enchanting rainforest (1.5 km). At the end of this incredible walk lies a succession of natural geothermal hot spring pools, a cascading waterfall and a stunning view of the mighty pacific ocean - an amazing daytrip for all ages! If you crave a bit more adventure you have the option of flying home to Tofino from the Hot Springs Cove in a float plane. This is called a SEA to SKY package. Float planes depart Hot Springs at 3:00pm & 6:00pm. During July and August we offer an EARLY BIRD SPECIAL - SEA to SKY. This is an 8 am flight up to Hot Springs and an 11:30 water taxi boat ride home. The early bird departure is not a wildlife tour.

Seasonal Sightings and Activities: Gray Whales, Humpbacks, Transient
Killer Whales, Seals And Sealions, Bald Eagles, Harbour Porpoises, Wolves, Sea Otters, Sea Caves with Intertidal Life, Mineral Hotsprings And A Rainforest Walk. Hot Springs Cove Tours are designed for guests who ride to and from the Springs aboard our boats. If you decide to take the option of flying halfway please, keep in mind that your opportunity to see wildlife is cut in half.
Price Guide: We collect $4 per person and remit this to BC Parks.
• A $1.00 wildlife conservattion fee will be added to each fare in support of maintaining the marine ecosystem in Clayoquot Sound. Ocean Outfitters donates this amount annually.
• Fuel Sur Charges apply
• Early Bird Sky to Sea $145 per person plus taxes
By law, children 2 years of age and older require their own seat with a seat belt on all flights and are charged the child fare.

This tour may not be suitable for people who are pregnant or who have serious back, neck or knee problems. Please let us know at time of booking of any such conditions.
We do run our hotsprings tours year round but we do not have whale or bear sightings during the winter months. You can still enjoy the sealions and great scenery!
