Our Location - Tofino, BC

Tofino is now a year-round destination for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. With a population under 2,000, the village is located at the tip of the Esowista peninsula in Clayoquot Sound, a 350,000 hectare Biosphere Reserve.

Biosphere reserves seek sustainable ways to work with natural environments and include protected core areas, buffer zones, and transition zones. For 10,000 years Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations inhabited this coastline, and they continue to live here with culturally rich lives tied to the ocean. This area is a paradise for ocean lovers! We are surrounded by miles of rugged coastline, rain forests to hike, wildlife to encounter, fish to catch, and breathtaking scenes to devour.

Tofino sits in a rich biodiverse landscape, home to amazing species of sea life, whales, coastal wolves, bears, and bird life. Our wild salmon function as a nitrogen pump fertilizing the majestic ancient cedar trees through the feasting of black bears that inhabit shorelines and river mouths. If you arrive by land, your journey here will take you through Pacific Rim National Park with its miles of unforgettable beach and tide pools calling you to explore.

Our ocean adventures take you throughout Clayoquot Sound, up the sheltered inlets behind Meares Island and around the dynamic islands of Vargas, Flores, and the clusters of islets that flank their sides. This is an unparalleled water recreation area with so much to discover it will keep you returning year after year!
