Wildlife Photography Workshop By Boat

Our guide and your photogrpahy instructor - Kyler Vos

Suitable for all skill-levels (Beginner to Pro)

Ocean Outfitters photography trips are based around the landscapes and wildlife of Clayoquot Sound. They are taught by our tour guide Kyler Vos who has a diploma in professional photo imaging, is the owner of his own photo gallery locally in Tofino, and shoots a wide variety of photography as a career. Our photography trips are for beginners, intermediates, and professionals. Not only a great learning curve in how to create professional images but to take you in and around Clayoquot Sound giving you information and accessibility to wildlife and beautiful landscapes.

The program starts in our coffee lounge 368 Main Street with a brief class on the basics of photography, camera gear, and tips towards the trip. We will then suit up, go over boat safety and head out on the water. Tide dependent, we will be heading up Tofino inlet to photograph the black bears in the calm waters behind Meares Island, then we will head off shore to find some ocean dwelling animals such as seals, sea lions, and whales. The boat trip will last around four hours with half hour before and after to learn the basics of photography and editing. Over all, the trips will be five hours in length teaching the ins and outs of outdoor photography on the coast.
